CASTING BREAKDOWN
Written and Directed by: Julian England and Mark Magill
Songs by: Tony Conway and Steve Requena
SYNOPSIS
LOST Theatre Pantomimes have always been a must see event for families during the holiday season. This year it will be back bigger and bolder than ever as we launch our latest offering ‘Cinderella 2’ in its purpose built theatre…
Faded soap stars, failed pop singers and Z-list TV celebrities…none of these will you find in the castle of Cinderella
When Cinderella and the Prince return from their honeymoon they find the kingdom in turmoil. The Wicked Stepmother has vanquished the King and Queen and grabbed power, The Ugly Sisters are running riot, the staff have all resigned and the fairy Godmother has disappeared.
Can Cinderella find her Fairy Godmother?
Can she rescue the Prince from a fate worse than death?
Will Buttons find true love?
Cinderella Two is a traditional pantomime for festive family fun.
With script and songs written exclusively for and by LOST Theatre, this show will be enjoyed by audiences of all ages, from tiny toddlers to golden grannies.
CHARACTERS:
All characters need to be able to sing and dance confidently and be comfortable working with children.
Cinderella (18-25) – young attractive girl with an air of innocence.
Buttons (18-25)– young male with a bright outgoing and bubbly personality. Must be able to engage with kids & audience in general.
Prince Charming (18-25) – young, attractive charming female
Wicked Stepmother (25+) – An older woman. A large pantomime villain personality essential, must be disliked by the kids and must be able to interact with the audience.
Ugly Sisters (x2) (25-35) – both to be played by men. Must be larger than life characters. Actors happy with cross dressing, but not camp.
Fairy Godmother (25+) – An older woman. Motherly, kind. Loving and vulnerable – but ultimately strong enough to beat the Wicked Stepmother.
Woofy the dog (18+)– needs an actor happy with skin work – no dialogue.
Richard & Judy (25+)– two apparent village idiots, they are actually the King and Queen under a spell. Good comic actors with a rapport and good physical skills for slapstick scenes.
