Mayhem Musical Theatre Company presents

The Wild Party by John LaChiusa and George C Wolfe

Enter the world of the 1920s in Manhattan where Queenie, a beautiful but jaded Vaudeville artiste lives with her lover, Burrs. On a Sunday morning the pair decide to throw The Wild Party. Night descends and the eclectic mix of guests arrive including Queenie's arch rival, a heavyweight boxer, a brother act, a diva of infinite life experience but indeterminate age, the fresh-faced girl whose naiveté quickly evaporates…. As the jazz- and gin-soaked party accelerates to a frenzied pitch, the masks and gloves come off, and all the needs, desperations and naked ambitions of the characters begin to emerge.
