About Patrick Wilde

 

 

Patrick Wilde directed his first Shakespeare at the age of 19.  Since then he has worked as an actor, writer and director in all fields including film and television (including This Life, As If, Casualty, Eastenders). He has worked in several major drama schools, and was head of Classical Text Studies at the Method Studio in London for five years. His Shakespearean acting credits include Hamlet, Mark Antony, Prospero, Macduff, Capulet, Orsino, Pandarus, Cassio, Roderigo, Caliban, Orlando, Marcellus and Froth. He has also played Doctor Faustus, Flamineo and Vindice in plays by Shakespeare’s contemporaries. He has directed productions of As You Like It, Hamlet, Henry IV (Part One), Julius Caesar, Macbeth, Measure For Measure, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Romeo and Juliet, Taming Of The Shrew and Twelfth Night. He has also directed The Changeling and The White Devil.
